Hand-harvested and grape-by-grape selection at the sorting table. Cold fermentation and maceration for 6 days, followed by aging in second and third-year French oak barrels. Light filtration before bottling.
The wine has a cherry red color with pleasant aromas of ripe fruit, spices, creamy oak, toasty notes, and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, it is very flavorful, with hints of ripe fruit and good acidity.
Mediterranean-style red wine. Perfect with lamb ribs, duck breast, spiced sauces or game stews. Also pairs with aged cheeses and dark chocolate desserts
The Les Timbes stream runs through the Can Vendrell de la Codina estate, dividing it into two groups of vineyard plots. On one side, small south-facing terraces of Grenache Noir were planted between 2001 and 2004 with selected clones that give the wine a refined and distinctive character. On the other side of the stream lies the Tempranillo vineyard of Capellades, now part of a renewed blend that brings us closer than ever to the most Mediterranean expression of our landscape.
