Winemaking

Manual harvest and berry-by-berry selection on the sorting table. Maceration and fermentation for 8 days in concrete tanks.
Aged in 225L and 500L French oak barrels for 12 months. Bottle ageing to refine.

Tasting note

Cherry red colour with medium depth. On the nose, it offers intense and expressive aromas of fresh red fruit, especially strawberry, combined with creamy oak notes, liquorice, and a subtle hint of sweet spices. On the palate, it is a fruity wine with volume and a touch of wild character.

Food pairing

A bold, characterful wine. Perfect with stews like oxtail, pork cheeks or lamb casserole. Also pairs with grilled meats, spiced tagines or aged artisan cheeses.

Characteristics

La Garnatxa de la Botera is a vineyard that has grown alongside the Albet i Noya project. Planted in 2000, it showed an intense, untamed character for years before naturally reaching its balance. After 23 years of ripening and observation, Crestabocs is born—our first 100% Grenache wine. A project led by Martí Albet i Esteve, committed to singular, origin-driven winemaking.

Crestabocs

The landscape

The Botera vineyard is located in the area known as Muntanya Rodona (Subirats), at the foot of Crestabocs, one of the most iconic peaks in the Ordal Mountains. Crestabocs rises majestically as a large mass of bare, rugged, vertical rock. This dramatic terrain meant that, historically, only wild mountain goats were able to reach its summit — hence the name. Its powerful and untamed image inspired the name of our wine and perfectly reflects its spirit.

Crestabocs, the wine born from this wild and rugged landscape, is a tribute to the land and to the effort it takes to cultivate it — to the wisdom of reading it with patience and respect. The vineyard, planted in 2000, has been tended for over two decades, taming its strength while preserving its essence. The result is this subtle yet wild Garnatxa, now released for the first time as a single-varietal wine.
