The world's best sommeliers taste El Corral Cremat.

Albet i Noya is part of the exclusive World’s Best Sommelier Selection tasting.

Under the guidance of Josep 'Pitu' Roca, sommeliers and restaurant managers from the top 50 restaurants gathered in England to taste a careful selection of wines from around the world, including the Clàssic Penedès  Corral Cremat 2013.

Sommeliers from renowned restaurants such as   Central ( Lima, current number 1 on the 50 the Best), Disfrutar (Barcelona), DiverXO (Madrid), The Jane (Belgium), Quintonil (México), Alchemist (Denmark) o Gaggan Anand (Bangkok) were part of the 30-member global sommelier group that sampled and evaluated over 130 carefully selected wines, invited to participate.

Regarding the Corral Cremat 2013, the select group of sommeliers highlighted its appeal with "Powerful, punchy fizz with notes of yellow plum, peaches, hazelnut, butterscotch and brioche. This would work well with oily fish; grilled mackerel".

The Corral Cremat 2013 is one of the most recognized wines from Albet i Noya. With only 3 vintages on the market, it has already established itself as one of the benchmark sparkling wines. In 2023, it received the prestigious Gran Vinari d’Or award for the Best Sparkling Wine in Catalonia and has been named Best in Show twice in the Decanter Awards for both 2022 and 2023.

The Corral Cremat 2013 is a Clàssic Penedès made 100% with Xarel·lo and aged for more than 10 years. It comes from a very special area that bears the same name in the heart of the Ordal mountains. It consists of a set of amphitheater-shaped plots surrounded by forests and facing south, receiving very few hours of sunlight, resulting in a slow grape maturation and elevated acidity, ideal for the production of long-aged sparkling wines.
