The white wine Lignum 2018 stands out, with a score of 92 points—the American praised its fine balance between “the freshness, but also intensity that this white wine offers us.” The Lignum Blanc is a blend of Xarel·lo, Chardonnay, and white Sauvignon grapes, which has also spent a little time in a wooden cask, which gives it this double quality of freshness and maturity.
Another good score, 91 points, went to the red wine La Milana 2015, a wine from the Can Milà de la Roca estate, made with Merlot, Ull de Llebre, and Cabernet varieties. A few months ago, La Milana 2015 already consolidated itself as the best vintage red wine of the Penedès in the 53rd DO Penedès Wine-tasting Contest.
Finally, the brand’s two newest additions, Curiós Xarel·lo and Curiós Tempranillo, also crossed the 90 point mark in the James Suckling tasting, which included over 2500 Spanish wines during his recent trip to La Rioja.
